These events are only for SEPnet postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers. These events are free to attend (SEPnet pays for your course fees) for SEPnet postgraduate researchers and you should be able to claim for your travel expenses either from your department or RTSG. If in doubt, please ask your department about the arrangements for claiming for your travel.
23 October 2024: GRADnet Induction Day for 1st Year Physics PhD students at International Students House, 229 Great Portland Street, London W1. This is compulsory for all September/October 2022 physics PhD starters. Register here by 16 October 2024.
20 November 2024: Machine Learning & AI at International Students House, 229 Great Portland Street, London W1.
December 2024 TBC: Monte Carlo Simulations/ML Applications
20 January 2025: Neural Networks to Image Recognition at the University of Portsmouth.
19 February 2025: Turning Science into Business at London venue TBA
19 March 2025: Student-led Conference at One Park Crescent London W1. Call for conference proposals in September with call for abstracts in December 2024 for each conference once confirmed.
June 2024 TBC: Summer School at NPL, Teddington, Middlesex.
July 2025 TBC: XV NExT School.
